PAUL FERET REINSTATED. Tho " Court do Direction" o( the French Lawn Tenuis Federation has pronounced tho rc()ualification of Paul Ferot as an amateur. This player had previously indicated his wish to rejoin the amateur ranks, and offered to return the whole sum ho had received on the occasion of his only professional appearance. Tho money will bo entirely distributed by the French Federation to charities. It was in September, 1926, that Fcrct went over to professionalism, and less than two and a-hall years have passed sinco this and his reinstatement, although in previous cases a delay of five years lias been imposed on petitioners in the same circumstances. It will 'be recalled that, his reinstatement was refused by the federation last vear,.although petitioned for by "The Four Musketeers," and pleaded for by Lacosto himself. Since then the required delay has been reduced from five to three years.
