[OY TELKGH.UMT. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH.' Saturday. The Waikato owner. Mr. W. Johnstone, lias been in communication with the Addington trainer J. J. Kemierley for some time, with a view.to securing his services as private trainer. It is understood that Kenuerloy will accept the position and that he will shortly sell all his horses and remove to the North Island Mr. Johnstone is tlie owner of last year's Cup winner, Peter Bingen, who was trained and dri\cn by Keunerley in the big race. J. D. Smith has put the pacer Challenger in work again. The brother to Avenger mis not been sound, but is now standing up o his work quite satisfactorily. William the Great is in steady work under H. Frost's care at New Brighton. A. E. .Bussell is working a big. power-fully-built pacer by Logan Pointer at Mv Brighton. He looks as though he hao done a good deal of work. The trotter Bon Elect is one of <-<. b. Smith's active brigade at New Bngh.u.i, He is trotting soundly in his work. _ .. The Matchlight gelding Torchlight in-J', D. Smith's stable, is well forward. He is a, useful sort and a. good stayer. Becky Mine in H. Frost's stable is furnishing into a fine mare.
