OBITUARY.
MR. ANDREW BERRIMAN. [UY TELEGI'Arir.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE, Saturday. Tho death occurred last evening of Mr. Andrew Berriman, of Carlton Road, Pukekohc, aged 72 years, 110 was born at St. Erth, Cornwall, England, and arrived in New Zealand age of 18 years. Shortly afterward lie joined tho Armed Constabulary and took an nctivo part against tho hostile natives until 1886, when ho was transferred to tho Police Force. After serving for 12 years Mr. Berriman resignod to take up farming iii the Manawatu district. 110 was later also farming in the King Country, near tho Waitomo Caves. For tho last 22 years ho was a resident of Pukckohe, where he. was one of . tho first members of tho Town Board and one of the founders of tho Bowling Club. He. survived by his wife, one son, Mr. Andrew Berriman, of Auckland, and six daughters, Mrs. "W H. Pratt", of Bombay, Mrs. C. Clarke, of Herno Bay, Mrs. S. Turner, of Matafigi, and Mrs. Louis Holt, Mrs. P. R. Mills and Miss Alice Berriman, of Pukekohe. There are 11 grandchildren.
