PONSONBY TRAM BARN.

Sir, —Your correspondent, "Remember the Childien," in Saturday's Hjeuald states : For 30' years Herne Bay has been disfigured by the unsightly tram "barn," which name praised it. What "Remember the Children" means by this I would very much like to know. The Ponsonby barn was built 45 or 46 years ago to :tny knowledge, and is more than half a mile from Heine Bay. As for children's playgrounds wi have Point Erin Park about half a milo away, Bayfield Park about, o quartor-mile, besides about two miles of harbour front, containing several sandy beaches between Cox's Creek arid St. Mary's Bay, all in Ponsonby. Then why use such a valuable piece of land as the old bam site for a playground ? < Old Resident.
