STONES AND FIREWORKS.
SYDNEY BOMBARDMENT. SUBURBAN HOMES ATTACKED MANY WINDOWS BROKEN. (Received May 22, 5.5 p.m.) ■ SYDNEY, May 22. Houses at Waverley, Paddington and Druinmoyne were damaged this morning by stones alleged to have been thrown by striking timber workers or their sympathisers, who drove round in a motorcar. , The inmates of the various homes had narrow escapes from injury. Packets of fireworks were lighted and thrown through the broken windows. The attacks were not confined to the homes of volunteer timber workers.
