ST. MICHAEL'S DANCE.
Very successful was the dance held in the Click Clack Cabaret last evening by members of St. Michael's Church, Remuera, in aid of the church building fund. Lines of balloons stretched across the ceiling and loops of red and orange streamers, these also falling to form light-shades, made artistic decoration for the ballroom, and bright and popular music played by Clyde Ilowley's Famous Internationals received much appreciation. For those who did not care to dance bridge tables had been arranged in tho lounge, and hero | autumn-tinted light-shades and lines of lycopodium across the ceiling were used with effect for decorations.. An exhibition of the Tile Trot, given by Miss M. O'Connor, was greatly enjoyed. Among those who were present were:— Mrs'. M. Wright, who wore a frock of Lois de rose ninon with a deep hem of ring velvet; Mrs. Sutcliffe, delphinium blue lace and georgette with an Oriental ornament; Miss N. Martin, shell pink and black georgette; Miss Fouhy, larkspur blue laco draped to one side; Miss Brown, apricot panne velvet embroidered with diamante; Miss Moira Clark, jade green chiffon velvet; Miss Vida Nelson, orange embossed chenille georgette with a green embroidered shawl; Miss McDonald, apricot georgette trimmed with crystal beads; Mrs. Black, black georgette embroidered with black and crystal heads; Miss Biss, almond green embossed chenille georgetto with a tiered skirt; Miss M. Wright, sea green sprigged taffeta with a tulle hem; Miss C. Wright, pink floral rippled ninon; Miss Gwen Letton, palm green taffeta with an overskirt of silver lace. Mrs. Fraser Smith wore cocoa-brown lace with a pink shoulder flower; Miss Whitfield, blue embossed chenille georgetto corsage with a white georgette skirt; Miss T. Forema'n, Nile green taffeta embroidered with gold ; Mrs. Willis, black crepe do chine with a red ring velvet shawl; Miss Hanfling, shell pink satin with a tiered skirt; Miss McKean. lacquer red lace; Miss Hopewell, hyacinth blue crepe do chine trimmed with gold sequins; Miss Audrey Gray, lemon crepe de chine with a tiered skirt edged with diamante; Miss P. Nicholson, powder blue satin inset with shell pink and embroidered with silver thread; Miss E. Kelly, lemon georgette with a pointed hem : Miss McGuire, eau de nil net with a frilled skirt; Miss P. Webber, black satin with a tiered skirt;' Miss Hyde, delohinium bin* georgette skirt and bodice of silver lame; Miss K. Wright, shell pink georgette'.: Miss Noel Obiter, electric blue taff.ta; Miss Clements, black georgette trimmed with black and gold beads; Miss Thyra Brodio, midnight blue taffeta with an uneven hem; Miss McAffety. and white figured crepe do chine; 'Miss O'Leary, powder blub georgette; Miss M. Martin, pink chiffon.
