The Rev. .E. P. Blamires, director of youth work for the Methodist Church in New Zealand, returned by the Ulimaroa yesterday from a visit to Australia. Mr. and Mrs. H. Haldane, of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. J. Blackbown, of Whangarei, and Mr. and Mrs. M. Chivers, of Christchurch, are at the Central Hotel. 1 Mr. N. Cooper, of Lower Hutt, Mr. A. W. Osborne, of Wellington, Mr. G. Burns, of Christchurch, and Mr. J. W. Miles, of Hamilton, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. John Harrington, of Sydney, managing director of Harrington's, Limited, of Australia and New Zealand, accompanied by Mrs. Harrington, is visiting Auckland and is at the Central Hotel. Mr. E. Wallace, Mr. H. J. Wallis, Mr. G. E. Breeze, Mr. R. McKinnon and Mr. R. W. Gunn, of Wellington, Mr. J. S. Ritchie, of Temuka, and Mr. W. Mickie, of Gisborne, are at the Star Hotel. Professor H. S. Dettmann, principal of the Sydney Grammar School, and formerly professor of classics at the Auckland University College, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa yesterday. Gamble, Mr. F. Mid lane, and Mr. R. B. Sinclair, of Wellington, Mr. E. W. Johnston, of Christchurch, and Mr. T. H. Steadman, of Whangarei, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. F. Rausch, procurator of Marist missions in . the South Seas, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa yesterday. Accompanied by the Very Rev. Dr. Rieu, world superior-general of the Society of Mary, he will leave for the islands by the Tofua at the end ox the week.
