EFFECT OF GREAT WAR.
JUVENILE LABOUR REDUCTION
British Wireless. RUGBY, May 12. , The Ministry of Labour, in a White Paper just issued, discussed the effect on the employment of juveniles in the next six years likely to result from tho general declino in the birth rate which occurred while tho war was in progress. That factor will gradually reduce the supply of juvenile labour in Britain from now onwards until about 1940. Tho lowest ebb will be reached at various points between 1931 and 1933, says the White Paper. The figures for the latter year will he nearly 20 per cent, below those of 1927. In 1934 there will bo a sharp rise which will continue for four years. After that a renewed decline is anticipated.
