THE TE AROHA BAND.
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE ABOHA, Monday. The annual meeting of the Te Aroha 1 Band was held in the Majestic Iheatre, the Mayor, Mr. R. Coulter, presiding. The secretary's annual report stated that the past 12 months had been successful in all respects. The receipts were £340 8s 4d and the balance-sheet showed a credit of £34 3s. Daring the year the band had been engaged by local and district organisations and had assisted sev.eral others. In tho Domain grounds 31 programmes of music had been rendered. The balance-sheet showed a surplus of assots over liabilities of £1043. ' Tho election of officers resulted Patron, Mrs. Gordon; president, Mr. R. Coulter- the position of. bandmaster, was left to' the Finance Committee to fill; deputy bandmaster, Mr.' W. Dickson; treasurer, Mr. J. Kennington; secretary, MivC. E. Christensen; assistant-secretary, Mr. N. Corcoran; band sergeant, Mr. L. Robinson; collector, Mr. Hannori; finance committee, Messrs. D. McMahon, Frith and Peaso (Borough Council), Mace, Hill, F. Robinson (band) ; librarians, Messrs. F. Robinson and Cochrane; Band Committee, tho bandmaster, deputy-bapd-master, band sergeant, secretary and Messrs. Buchan,. Frith, L. ..Robinson and Morgan. Tho election of vice-presidents was left in the hands of the committee.
