THE AUCKLAND EXOHANGE.
WIDE RANGE OF SALES. Sales on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday took a wide range. Government securities and local body debentures maintained their strength without any business passing. In banks Unions of Australia had sale at the current price of £ls 93. The section was moderately active, with little change in quotations. In insurance .New Zealnnds recovered threepence, to sell at 46s 9d, with more buyers at the price, sellers 475, > In coal Taupiris again sold at 275, and in gas Aucklands wore dono Id choaper at 24s 4d. In shipping Iluddart-Parkers wore 3d firmer on both buyers' and sellers' figures. In the miscellaneous section the preference issue of Electrolytic Zincs sold 6d dearer at 37s 3d, and the preference issue of Lewis Eady, Ltd., made a sale at the current price of 18s 6d. Now Zealand Paper Mills continued their upward movement, selling 7d dearer at 19s 6d, with more wanted at 19s 3d. Wilsons Cements rose 6d, changing hands at 42s 3d. In mining Waihis were done, ox div., at 12s 7d.
