OPPOSITION IN SOUTHLAND,
FARMERS* UNION MEETING.

Further opposition to the establishment of junior high schools in New Zealand was expressed at a meeting of the Southland provincial executive of the Farmers* Union yesterday, when advice of support to the stand taken in the matter by the Southland and the Dominion; executives was received from the provincial executives.
The meeting decided to re-state its opposition, in view of the fact that the Minister of Education appeared to have decided in favour of the new system.
