ACTIVITIES OF 50AR0, PROGRESS Or RETICULATION. [BY TEt.EGB.i.rS. —OWN COEEESPONBEKT. 1 TATEANGA. Sunday. A report- presented to a meeting of the Tauranga Electric-Power Board stated that 18 miles of high-tension lines were erected during the term of the present board. This did not include services erected or any of the low-tension lines run beneath the 11,000-volt lines. The board had erected or purchased over 252 route miles of lines since its scheme was commenced. Daring the past three years 77 new consumers were connected up, the totaJ number to date being 815. The number of installations at March 31 were as follows —Ranges, 111; milking motors, 295; water heaters. 314: field pumps, 116.
The revenue earned from the sale of current and hire of motors for the past year amounted to £20.172, an increase of £1205 over the previous year's figures.
It was reported that certain consumers taken over from the Borough Council had not yet signed the board's terms of supply. It. was decided that the supply be discontinued in the event of the consumers refusing to sign the document,.
