MILITARY PROMOTIONS.
WAR OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENT. British Wireless. RUGBY, April 11. The War Office announces that MajorGeneral Wardrop, who is now on the way back to England, having vacated his appointment as general officer commanding in North China, has been selected for promotion to the rank of lieutenantgeneral into a vacancy which will occur in the near future. Among those selected for promotion to the rank of major-general is Brigadier Hildyard, at present commanding the second Rhine brigade of the British Armv on the Rhine.
