BEAUTIFUL BUSH RESERVE.
WILD, PRIMITIVE NATURE. NEW PARK NEAR SYDNEY. [FROM OCR O'.VN CORRESPONDENT.] SYDNEY. April 5. The preservation and oflicial opening as n. public reserve of a beautiful tract of bush land, known as "Tho Jungle." on Mount Tomah, a little more than 50 miles by road from Sydney, is not only an opportune act at a timo when, in and around Sydney, Nature is being ruthlessly robbed of its lordly trees and other primitive beauty, but it is a nice tribute to tho public-spiritcdness of a number of citizens who, out of their own pockets, have purchased this reserve for the people. The Fairfax Walk, one of the featmes of "The Jungle," has been christened in memory of one of the original subscribers to the fund for its preservation, the lalo Sir James Fairfax. Moutit Tomah, which lies beyond tho historic old towns of Windsor and Richmond, redolent with memories of Australia's infancy, is one of n, group of mountains and is graced by majestic ti'ees, by tree ferns and creepers in all the. heautv of wild, primitive profusion, and by grassy slopes of emerald green. Fittingly named "Tho Jungle," the new reserve will be the Mecca of motorists and their families looking for fresh beauty spots within easy call of tho city.
