GIRLS' FRIENDLY SOCIETY.

The first social gathering of the year of the Girls' Friendly Society was held at the lodge, Wellesley Street, on Wednesday, when a large number of t.he various diocesan branches met, and spent a very happy and friendly evening. Dr. Mildred 'Staley gave an interesting address on her recent trip to Honolulu, where she went as a delegate in the conference of this National Council of Women. Dr. Staley was specially struck with the great efficiency of the American women. After the address games and supper were enjoyed, and genuine wishes of bon voyage expressed to Miss W. Averill. wlw has always been a keen worker in the society
