WIFE SECURES DECREE

The divorce petition of Annie Jane Scantlehury (Mr. Dennett) against Percy James Scantlehury, solicitor (Mr. Iwler), on the ground of adultery, was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday before Mr. Justice Blair.

The parties were married in Wellington in 1909, and there is one child of the marriage. They lived in Duncdin before coming to Auckland.

The petitioner said that m consequence of suspicions that had been aroused she and two others visited her husband's office iu High Street one evening last December. They found the office in darkness arid locked on the inside. Admission was gained by breaking a glass panel, and they found her husband in an inner room with a woman. Petitioner said, "1 have caught you at last. I will communicate with you through my solicitor." This evidence was corroborated by apother witness. His Honor issued a decree nisi to be made absolute in three months, with costs against respondent on the lowest scale.
