A requiem mass for the late Marshal Foch was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral io-day by Father Piquet, the oldest French priest in Australia.

Tho Governor of New South Wales, Sir Dudley do Chair, and a large, number of officials and representative citizens were among the congregation.

Father Lockington's impressive address concluded: "France has mourned for our sons whom wo left in her bosom. To-day it is meet that Australia should kneel with France to mourn tho passing of her greatest son."
