BOY'S FALL INTO RIVER.
VERDICT OF CORONER'S JURY.
[by telegraph.—press' association.] INVERCARGILL, Wednesday.
An inquest was held this evening before the acting-coroner and a jury concerning the death of Ivan George Shand, a schoolboy, whose body was found in the Waihopai River on Saturday last. After hearing evidence, the actingcoroner said he considered that tho boy had been accidentally drowned through falling into the river while playing. A verdict was reLurned accordingly.
