Mrs. Harden, of Auckland, is visiting Wellington. Sirs. J. Francis, of Remuera, is visiting her parents in Christ church. Miss F. Penny, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Miss G. Stevenson, of Napier, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Hotel Stonehurst. Mrs. E. C- Barnard, of Napier, is a visitor to Auckland and is staying at the Hotel Stonehurst. Mrs. Arthur Fleming, of Otorohanga, is visiting Auckland and is (he guest of Mrs. O'Halloran, of Takapuna. Mrs. Andrew Fairbairn and her daughter, of Christchurch, who have been visiting the United Kingdom and Europe, returned by the Port Napier. Mrs. C. Z. Clayton and Miss Clayton, of Ellerslie, who have been on a visit to the United Kingdom and Europe, arrived from London by the Port Napier.

She fought w'th great courago, and. after being severely wounded was decorated by Prince (now King) Alexander with the Kara George Star, the most coveted distinction in tho army. Later she rose to bo a vodnik, or lieutenant, and was finally gazetted captain two years ago.
