"lb., defeated R. Trowern (Auckland), 10st. nib., on points. Tlio fight went the full 15 rounds, and the maisiti of points at the finish was small. Paul's -left bothered Trowern, who, however, was superior in footwork and infighting. Ono of the iudses declared the contest a draw, and the other a win for Paul. Tlio referee Gave Viis decision for Paul.
