SURPLUS tINCREASING. PARLIAMENT ADJOURNED. (Received March 29, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY. March 28. The Exchequer returns have been issued. They show a revenue surplus of £9.400,000 np to March 23 compared with a surplus of £2.200,000 on March 16. One week s revenue has still to be collected before the close of the financial year on Saturday. The revenue for the year to March 23 amounted to £732,200,000 and ordinary expenditure, including sinking fund, to £722,700,000. Parliament was adjourned to-day for the Easter recess. It frill reassemble on Monday, April 15, when Mr. Churchill, Chancellor of the Exchequer, will make his Budget statement.
