CITY COUNCIL GARAGE. PAYMENT OUT OF REVENUE. .The Auckland City Council's proposal to borrow £IO,OOO for tho erection of a garage at tho corner of Cook and Albert Streets has failed to meet with the approval of tho Local Government Loans Board. The council was advised on Thursday that tho board was of opinion that expenditure of such a nature should bo met out of revenue. The Finance Committee is to consider tho board's opinion, and report to the council.
