EASTER BOWLING.

{THE AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. ' BAIN MARS OPENING DAY, ONLY W0 ROUNDS COMPLETED. RESULTS IN THE SECTIONS. The Auckland Bowling Centre's Tiannual Easter tournament was commenced yesterday, section play i n the various sections of the Easter fours, executive fours and first-year players' fours being conducted on the various greens. Once again the weather was unkind. Although not finite so sweeping in its results aa was the c;»s9 during the Christmas tournament, heavy rain nevertheless interrupted play for two hours at about mid-day, and as a result only two rounds of section play were decided in tho majority of cases, whereas it had been hoped to play three. Games in the third round "\\eie started, but will have to bo completed this morning. They will bo resumed on the greens allocated to the various sections for the second day's play. Naturally, yesterday's weather conditions ei e tar from perfect, but the greens played surprisingly well. After the midday ram they were, of course, on the lieaiv side, but were still fit for play.
