TH £ AUCKLAND GUN CLUB^ RESULTS AT ANNUAL PICNIC. Tho annual picnic of the Auckland Gua Club, lieid yesterday,, was most successful. Thero was a good attendance of members and visiting: shooter;!. The opening sweepstake match of 10 birds was divided by R. H. Bartley. E. O'Kane, C. Seddon, G. Peach. V. E. Grant and i . N. Gallic, all with the possible. The points system of scoring was then introduced. thres points for the first barrell and two for the second, all trophy matches counting f° r aggregate trophy. A 15-birds' match for a silver teapot resulted in a tie between VT. E. Grant ana l'\ H. Seccombe, wi*h 43 points. Grant won the trophy in the shoot-off. A 12-birds' match for a fruit on a silver stand was won outright by r. iJ. Seccombe. with the possible of 36 point!. C. Seddon and A. liannigan dividing second prize with C 5. The 30-birds" match for a silver nasi w»8 won outright, by R. H. Bartley. with tho possible of 30. C. Seddon being ruDner-up with 20 points. The final 10-birds' match for a travelling rug was won outright by G. Peach, with the possible of 30 points. T. Lomas. runner* up with 29. leceiving a silver entree aisn. The grand aggregate trophy, a barometer, was won by F. H. Seccontbe. with 133 P°'T!' S out. of a possible 141. R. H. Bartley. 1-6. was second and I. Lomas, US, third. The rug was donated by Mr. C. W. Ku.sell and all the other trophies bj Mr. J« Martin Wilson, a life member of t ie cluP. Mr. E. P. Mitchelson s trophy was held over until the next shoot at the grounds.
