The annual meeting of the Rotorua Golf Club was held last evening, the president, Mr. W. W. P. Hall, presiding. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. F. W. Wilkie; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. W. P. Hall and C. H. Worthington; captain, Dr. Hay; vice-captain, Mr. H. C. Carlyon-Britten; committee, Messrs. A. Walden, S. E. (,'arr, It. Cope-land-Smitli. Mr. Redhead raised the questions of building a ne*»' golf house and installing an efficient water supply. The latter, he considered, most urgent. The matters were referred to the incoming committee for consideration. ROTORUA LADIES' TOURNEY. The Rotorua Ladies' Golf Club will hold its annual tournament next month, commencing on Tuesday, April 9. The chief event will bo the open tournament. This tournament is very popular among the lady golfers of the Dominion. The links aro in good order and the prospects are very bright for a successful tournament. WHANGAREI CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 WHANGAREI. Thursday. The twenty-first annual meeting of the Whangarei Golf Club was held last evening, with Mr. F. Higginson, vice-presi-dent, in the chair. Mr. Higginson congratulated the club on a very satisfactory playing and tinancial year and mado reference to the extension of the leaso for a further period of five years. The bal-ance-sheet, for 1928 was adopted. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 6, when mixed foursomes will bo played. 'J ho election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. F. Higginson; vicepresident, Mr. S. C. Thome; captain, Mr. R. Harrison; treasurer, Mr. L. Feist; auditor, Mr. A. R. Crane; committee, Mrs. Gardner, Miss Drummond. Messrs. Seccombo, Glanville, Donohuo and Haringtoo.
