CONVERSION OF MOTOR-CAR.
OFFENCE BY YOUNG MAN. SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT. [£Y TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HASTINGS, Thursday. A plea of guilty was entered by Robert Turner, aged 19, to day in the Police Court to a charge of unlawfully converting a car, valued at £350, to his own use. Accused and another man took the car from a private garage and drove it to Wellington, changing the number-plates on the way. They abandoned the car at Kaiwarra. Accused, who had given himself up, was sentenced to imprisonment for one month, to bo followed by 12 months' probation, and he was ordered to pay 'he owner of the car £2O to defray the cost of repairs.
