TRAMWAY TRAFFIC.

THE ONE-WAY SYSTEM. There is a fairly strong body of opinion in Chrislchurch ill favour of one-way tramway traffic, this conclusion having been arrived .at as tho result of tho exposition of thai system which has been given during the street reconstruction work in Colombo Street. Mr. J. A. Flesher, chairman of the Tramway Hoard, is a strong supporter of tho one-way system. "It would relieve a lot of traffic it could lie carried on," he, said. "I think that probably when the financial results uro known they will strengthen tho feeling that tho one-way system should bo adopted. One-way traffic is the modern method, and we must keep pace with • the times."
