WHARF AT ONERAHI.
PROPOSED ELECTRIC CRANE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Monday. At a meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board, 17 tenders were received for the supply of a 15-t,on electric crane for the Onerahi Wharf. It was decided that the Works Committee should reduce the number to three tenderers, who would be> informed that, owing to circumstances which had arisen since the tenders were called, they would he held over for six months. Later, on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. Holmes, the board signified its willingness to place an order for an electric crane for bunkering overseas vessels as soon as a sufficient supply of coal was forthcoming.
