DISTRESSED MINERS.
BRITISH RELIEF FUND. GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTIONS. (Received Marcli 11, 7.25 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY. March 10. The Lord Mayor's fund for the relief of distressed miners now amounts to £739,000. A supplementary Government estimate issued to-day includes £600,000 for a contribution from the Government toward the fund, and £BO,OOO for the Scottish miners. The total to be provided by jjie Government has been increased to £860,000.
