DECISION BY MAGISTRATE. [by telegraph.—rnicss association.] HASTINGS. Thursday. An unusual case was heard in the Magistrate's Court, when the magistrate was asked to make an order determining the ownership of a cycle. A bank clerk left tho machine in a right-of-way, and it was stolen. The thief sold the bicycle to a second-hand dealer, who paid £2 for it. and wished compensation for this payment. The magistrate made an order that the cycle be returned to its try? owner, and said that the second-hand dealer would have to put the £2 to profit and loss.
