RAIN IN TORRENTS.
NEW SOUTH WALES COAST.
FLOODS IN RIVERS FEARED.
SYDNEY, Feb. 8,
Torrential rains which havo fallen on the north coast in the last few days have caused the rivers to rise to alarming levels. As much as 14in. of rain were recorded in 24 hours.
The State meteorologist has issued warnings that there is a danger of floods and these have been sent to postmasters in north coast river towns. Further heavy falls arc predicted.
