Advice has been,, received locally of a serious accident to Mr K. J Gray, of Sydney, and formerly of Te Aroha, as a result of which his right leg has been amputated Tho accident was caused through a collision between a motor-ca<-and a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. Gray. Mr. Gray was a well-known and successful amateur boxer during his residence at Te \roha, where ho was known as "Battling Nelson " Ho won many South Auckland tournament contests under that name.
