STUDY OF LOCAL PROBLEMS. British "Wireless. RUGBY, Feb. G. In the House of Commons tho Foreign Secretary, Sir Austen Chamberlain, was asked what the object was of the six weeks' visit paid by Lord Lloyd, British High Commissioner for Egypt, to the Sudan.
Sir Austen said it was to acquire firsthand knowledge of tho problems confronting the Sudan Government, and to maintain personal touch with tho Governor General, Sir John Maffey, and his advisers,
