PAPATOETOE MATTERS.

FOOTPATH IMPROVEMENT. A deputation waited on the Pa.patoetoe ToVn Board at its meeting this week, asking it to undertake the expenditure of £SBB remaining from the Great South Road loan, in the formation of a footpath in Great South Road from the East Tamaki Road to Flat Bush Road.. The deputation also mentioned various matters in connection with drainage of the board's area east of the main highway. In reply the chairman of the board said the provision of the footpath in question was an important work, and it was to be proceeded with as soon as the board's workmen had finished other jobs.
