REPORTS OF MANAGERS.
Hauraki Consolidated.—Tho riso from the 400 ft. level to connect with tho Tangye winze in tho Union Beach section is now within about sft. of tho same level as tho drive, and it is expected to effect communication wiihin the next few days. At tho seaward end on the Stockwood reef, the drilling out fo. stoping has been completed. The new valve-piece for tho 400 ft. plunger is to hand, and a start has been made to replace the broken one. This work has been somewhat delayed owing to the drawlift bucket rod breaking at one of the joints. This has been repaired. and good progress is being made in taking ot t the 20ft. of water that accumulated while repairs were being made. Everything is again running smoothly, and providing no moro breakages occur the repairs to the 400 ft. plunger should be completed about the end of next week. The tanks will then be replaced with the cages and mining operations resumed at the point where tho gold was obtained.
