AT DIXIELAND.
Many dancers were present at fSxieland on Saturday evening and the shaded - lights and bright decorations of the caferet made a colourful setting for ih»!/ many pretty frocks which were to seen. A popular feature of the was the largo spotlight erected ever the danco floor. Among the dancers present were: Mrs. W. H. Spiller, who wore a frock of orchid-shaded lace with relief of georgette in contrasting colours; Mrs. Smith, mauve georgette and errtjral:! grees ring velvet; Mrs. M. King, black' beaded. georgette with shawl; Mr;. A* Qcok., almond green ring velvet with uneven hem; Mrs. P. W. Johnson, ciel blue taffeta and black shawl; Miss Parcer, apple - creen georgette, beaded in crystal; Miss Hitchcok, black lace period frock, banded in taffeta; Miss" Nobilo, rose pink shaded georgette with sequin trimming; Miss Veale. silver lace over cameo pink satin; Miss Dorothy Wallen, primrose tucked georgette with lace; Miss Gwen Kenrick. sunset taffeta shot with gold and gold lace; Miss Barton, palest pink georgette and crepe de chine, with tulle bow; Miss E. McGee, petunia georgette beaded -- in crystal and green shawl; Miss Peggy Kennedy, ean de nil crepe de chine with. _ gold lame; Miss Don, rose pink taffeta and silver lace; Miss A. O'Brien, duchess blue crepe do chine; Miss M. 0 Brien, ? , black georgette and lace with flame shawl Miss Bernica Mollov, blush rose georgette with circles of small flowers; Miss Hazel Halliday (Christchurch), gold lace over jade green georgette with jade shoulder sprav. Miss Freda Parry wore, apple green % frilled net over a deeper shaded crepe da chine: Miss Agnew, white frilled crep» do chine; Miss N. Johnston, fuchsia rinc velvet with georgette, and diamante trimming; Miss Davies (Wellington),, orange crepe de chine and velvet with : lace flounces; Miss W. Viseoe, biscuit and cerise georgette with shoulder posy to tone; Miss Marion Griffiths, pale pink I georgette and tulle; Miss Olive Wilkinson (Cambridge), cream lace over satin and red rose spray; Miss Lorna Andrew, golden dawn georgette and silver lace with orange shawl: Miss M. Onto, pale pink chenille georgette: Miss Ailsa Bell, creatn satin appliqued with red roses.
