NEW HOTEL AT DRURY.
COMPLETION THIS WEEK. [BY TEr.KGHArH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] rUKEKOHE, Saturday. A new hotel at Drury, replacing the premises destroyed by tiro about six months a go, is to bo in occupation and open to the public next week. At a meeting of the Franklin Licensing Committee this morning, at which tho chairman, Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., presided, the removal of tho licence from the temporary promises to the new building was approved.
Tlio architect. Mr. R. C. Twohill, advised the commit!eo that the building had been erected in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by the committee previously. Nine bedrooms would bo available for the public. Not only was the structure a handsome one, but it was also proposed to improve and lay out the grounds. No expense would be spared in making tho hotel one of the best country hostclries in Now Zealand. Tho transfer of the licence from James Loo Stitfc to Edmund Grace Twohill was also approved.
