FIRE BRIGADE CONTESTS.
COMPETITIONS AT PUKEKOHE.

FDKEKOHE, Saturday.
The annual competitions for fire brigade teams, arranged by tho Pukekohe Brigade, took place this afternoon. Teams from the Mount Roskiil, Taniaki West, Papakura and Pukokohe Brigades competed. The results were as follows: Two-men Coupling, Wot Event.— Papakura, 1; Tainaki West, 2. Time, 50 4-ss. Three-men Coupling, Wet Event.- — Pukekohe, 1- Mount Itoskill, 2. Time, 355. In the evening the Pukekohe Brigade held its annual smoke social. There was a good attendance, including representatives oi other brigades. The Mayor, ilr. John Routley, prosided.
