GROWING SYDNEY EVIL.

WOMAN SENT TO PRISON. (Received January ID. 12.'25 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. IP. May Smith, aged 48, was to-day fined £250 at the Central Police Court, Sydney, and sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment for being in possession of cocaine.

The police stated that the woman was a notorious distributor of this drug. The traffic in drugs was increasing throughout Sydney at an alarming rate.
