THE TRANSPORT BOARD.
MORE AREAS MAY JOIN. NEGOTIATIONS IN PROGRESS. Negotiations are in progress for the inclusion of several new districts north and south of Auckland in the Transport . Board's area. The suggestion is that- Ivew Lynn, Glen Eden and Te Atatu should make joint representations for admission to the board's area, with representation on the board, Otahuhu, Papatoetoe and Mangere making a similar application, with also a request for separate representation. Discussions between tho respective enstricts aro already under way. Provision for the inclusion of outside districts in th« board's area is contained in the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928.
