HIGHBROWS' LATEST GADGET. American residents introduced tortoiseBiiell rimmed glasses—bigger and rounder than any one had ever seen before, into Australia, says an overseas writer. The lie-speckled and pince-nezed folk looked flt them with amusement. And then Harold Lloyd came on the scene with bis little specialty. Now everybody who is anybody, wears tlieni, and when everybody's doing it, the powers that lie search around to find something fresh to keep tho ball of business rolling. So now, those who want to be different from everyone else are taking to hexagonalsliaped tortoise-shell glasses, which' arc the latest " gadget" for the highbrows who wish to attract attention.
