In u low ocoring mulch in which some remarkable bowline was witnessed, Dargaville 38, defeated To Kopuru, 19, on the first innings. and narrowly missed getting a lourpoint win. For Durgaville, Purdio 12, and Wliito 12, lopped tho score. For To Kopuru Doyle 5, Yates 4, and Clark 4. were tho only ones to niako any nort of stand. Bowline for Dargaville. J. A feature of Saturday's cricket at Thames was tho score by Wello (City) of 111 not out. This is the first century scored locally i» season. Taruru scored 85 (Cleave 41) and 92 for six wickets (Glover 28)_ easily defeating High School, whoso two innings produced 73 runs. City, 151 for. three wickets (Wells 111 not out), beat United, 52 3n d 40. Mortimer (City) five wickets for 11, Clr-ave (Tararu) six for 5 and seven for 11, secured the best bowling figures.

Tho first elevens of the Napier and Palnierston North High Schools commenced their annual match in Napier to-day. Ihe homo team opened and dismissed lor 50 runs, McHaffio taking five for 8 in soven and a-lialf overs. Cutler took four for 11. The Pulmcrston North innings opened sensationally, tho first three wickets falling without a run being scored, and the fourth went down with only on© ou tho board. Then McHaffie and Henderson stopped tne rot with i» partnership that added 136, the former making 89 and tho latter 44. The visitors' innings closed for 177. Reaney took seven wickets for 4s. At stumps Napier had lost one wicket for 85. iho match will bo continued to-morrow.
