CAMP ON ISLANDS.
LADY ALICE FERGUSSON.
ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND TO-DAY.

The Government steamer Tutanekai arrived in port just before noon to-day, with Lady Alice Fergusson and party on board. The Tuta.iekai is engaged on her usual periodic survey of the lights on tho northern peninsula, and Lady Alice and her party seized this opportunity of spending a pleiisant holiday. The party, comprising Lady Alice Fergusson, the Countess Metaxa, Mrs. Dugdalc, Captain Orr-Ewing, Mr. A. Whitcombo and Mr. W. Eraser, engineer to the Whangarei Harbour Board, joined the Tutanekai at Auckland on December 8, and called at the Great Barrier, the Hen and Chickens Islands, Poor Knights Islands and Cape Brett, arriving at the Three Kings Islands last Wednesday. The party was landed at the Three Kings and camped there for three days, while the Tutanekai tended the several lights in the vicinity. v ■ ~
The campers rejoined the vessel on Saturday and steamed for Kaipara. Last night was spent at Pouto, at the entrance to Kaipara Harbour. The party expects to arrive at Onehunga to-morrow afternoon.
