DROUGHT IN AUSTRALIA.

GOVERNMENT AID URGED. MELBOURNE, Dec. 11. A member of tho Anthropological Society, Mr. Gill, says tho scarcity of water following upon a prolonged drought was responsible for hundreds of aborigines dying in Northern and Central Australia. The Federal Government should afford succour to tho natives by taking them permanent water supplies and by distributing flour and provisions.
