HOW TO SALT NUTS.
You can bake nuts for salting in butter, or fry them in salad oil. To proparo almonds—cover £lb. with boiling water for five minutes, then slip off skins.
Dry nuts in a cloan towel, place in a baking tin along with a tablespoonful of butter, allow to brown, stirring frequently, add a good sprinkling of salt, stir two minutes longer. 3 Drain on kitchen papeif. " Or fry nuts in smoking hot oil till light brown, stirring constantly. Use 1-3 cup oil to Jib. nuts. You can salt peanuts and pecans in tho sanio way, but bo careful with tho luscious pecan. It is difficult to toll because of its dark colour when it is cooked enough. Drain on brown paper, and sprinkle with salt. Salted nuts, if nicely prepared, will never fail to win approval from your guests. They net like cocktails in giving the right appetite for a tasty meal.
