WHANGAROA INTERESTS.
At a meeting of the Whangaroa County Council Mr. T. H. Hayes resigned from the position of chairman and Mr. J. S. Lane was elected. A resolution was passed expressing the council's appreciation of the way in which Mr. Allen Bell had attended to the wants of the district during his six years as member of Parliament for the district. It was decided not to dismantle the old Whangaroa wharf at present. Camping sites' are to be pegged out at Whangaroa and also at Ranfurly Bay and will be under a caretaker.
