MISSING SOLICITOR.
CASE OF H. R. MALCOLM.
ADJUDICATION AS- BANKRUPT
An order adjudicating as a bankrupt Hector Robert Malcolm, the Auckland solicitor, who lias been missing since November 1, was made by Mr Justice Erazer in the Supreme Court yesterday. Tho order was asked for by Mr. George, on behalf of a creditor, John Arthur Alderton.
Mr. George said Malcolm decamped from Auckland about November 1, and had left no trace at all of his whereabouts. There was a large deficit outstanding, although it was a little premature to say what it would amount to. John, Arthur Alderton, the petitioning creditor, said he had been a client of Malcolm, and had placed sums in his hands for investment. Last July he gave him £225 for investment, and in October a sum of £225 was paid in to Malcolm for him. Witness was told it had been invested in another property, but that was without his authority. He had been unable to get in touch with Malcolm.
