SCOTTISH CHURCHES.
UNION NOW ASSURED. A BASIS ARRANGED. LONDON, Nov. 21. Scottish church union is practically assured by the docisions of the General Assemblies of the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church. By overwhelming majorities these havo accepted the basis and plan of union, which the presbyteries in Scotland have been discussing since May. The plan now goes to the presbyteries for final acceptance or rejection. If it is accepted, completion of preliminaries may be expected by May, 1929, and the formal act of union probably in October, 1929, in tho presence of the King an. Queen.
