SCHOOL DENTAL CLINIC.
ESTABLISHMENT AT WAIHI.
FUNDS NEARLY ADEQUATE.

A dental clinic for schoolchildren is to be established at Waihi as soon as tho Health Department is nssnred by the Schools Committee that its proportion of tho cost is available. This v/ill not be long, as the bulk of the money is already in hand, and tbn, residents of Waihi always give generous support to anything pert aininc: to tho welfare of tho children. Mr. J. S. Saunders, assistant-director of dental hygiene, conferred with the committee last evening, and explained in defail the service given by clinics and the responsibilities of school committees in Connection with their maintenance. Fie (stated that steps would bo taken to erect Unci equip tho building on a site at tho High Sebool ground immediately the committee had the balance of the money in hand.
Tho chairman, Mr. J. B. Beeche, assured Mr. Saunders that the further Burn required would promptly lie raised.
