MASONIC HOMES.
SCHEME FOR AUCKLAND.
LAND AND COTTAGES GIVEN.
A commencement has been made possible in Auckland, through the generosity of Mr. if. S. Potter, with the establishment of the Masonic homes on a modest but useful scale.
Mr. Potter lately made an offer to the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand to hand over to it a block of land just over six acres in exlent, situated on the Paii-murc-Eei'mUlo Road. His purpose is 10 cnablo the provision of cottage homes in which aged Freemasons and their wives may live rent free. Further, Mr. Potter has also offered to give the scheme a start by building two cottages al< an early date. The Masonic nuthoiities have gratefully accepted the donation, and their adminis trative boards will consider what further steps shall bo taken to give effect to th*> movement.
